The History Cat

A Better Way to Learn History 2.png

One of the most challenging  (and fulfilling) projects I've ever worked on is a website that I started back in 2015. Originally, The History Cat began as a way to give my students a better learning experience. My reasoning was that by writing articles that infused history and humor I could catch my students' attention,  leading to higher engagement. It worked.

Over the years, The History Cat has evolved from a humble classroom resource to a global website that has reached over 2 million users. As the owner and sole team member, I have taken on the role of site designer, content writer, assessment specialist, social media coordinator, product manager, and SEO analyst. That's a lot of hats, and I love it, because I know that I'm creating something of value for thousands of teachers and students worldwide.

When I'm not writing new articles or lesson plans, I'm thinking of ways to improve  my end users' experience. Using blogs for educators, games, and a membership forum, I've been able to reach a wider audience and keep them coming back for more.

Skills and Experience

I’m currently a Learning Experience Designer. I’m open to growing in my role, connecting, and sharing my experiences.
